Logging and forest timber management runs deep in the ATS family veins. Founder and owner Adam Lee started earning money while in high school, doing odd jobs part time and on weekends by helping local neighbor’s with clearing brush, cutting down trees and other such activities. Through his efforts he was able to earn and save $40,000 that was used to purchase his fist major logging equipment- a skidder. Soon after high school, Adam became a timber faller and landed a position with Columbia Helicopter where he increased his knowledge and skill sets in the logging industry. He then met his future wife and business partner Breanna, acquired another major piece of logging equipment and started Adams Timber Service… and the rest is History. Bree, a local Realtor, became increasingly involved in the administration and running their logging outfit in addition to becoming a mother. Various small jobs in the forest soon led to a solid reputation in estimating timber value, production and equipment use while deep in the woods. As the logging and timber projects became bigger and more complex, ATS grew from a 2-3 person operation into a local force to be reckoned with, taking on 100-150 acre projects of secluded timber land owned by local families seeking forest management and cold cash in exchange for the trees that are so plentiful in Cowlitz County. To many of these SWWA families owning land and timber, entire generations of effort are wrapped up in the land and trees- having a reputable and experienced logging outfit is crucial for their legacy to be passed onto their children.
